“Freeze our Fukushimas” – ACT NOW to close down dangerous reactors!

It’s time to suspend operations at the 23 Mark I Boiling Water Reactors in the US! You can join us to "Freeze Our Fukushimas" by becoming a co-signer of our petition to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. More than 6,000 have already signed. Signing the petition gives you a right to engage directly. The next opportunity – when the NRC holds its final review board meeting – will be October 7, 2011, from 10am to 12 noon Eastern Standard Time. NRC is opening three special toll-free telephone bridge lines to accommodate call-ins from co-petitioners and Beyond Nuclear staff and featured speakers. NRC is web-casting the proceeding for public viewing on the internet. If you have not yet become a co-petitioner, there is still time to sign up to "Speak Truth to Power." More
