Please support dozens of Japanese organizations along with many others around the world in urging Japanese Prime Minister Noda to take heed from former Prime Minister Naoto Kan and reject nuclear power forever.
Testifying last month before the Japanese parliament, Kan, who was prime minister when the Fukushima nuclear catastrophe began, warned that Japan’s plant safety was inadequate because energy policy had been hijacked by the politically and economically powerful nuclear establishment which had shown "no remorse" for the catastrophe. He urged Japan to discard nuclear energy. In contrast, Noda is calling for the restart of all undamaged nuclear plants beginning with Ohi.
You can join in the demand to keep all 50 operable Japanese reactors shut down permanently, by urging Prime Minister Noda not to restart Ohi, which could set in motion the re-start of many other Japanese reactors that are currently idled.
Read the Japanese appeal here. And please sign the petition to keep Japanese nuclear plants shut and to secure Fukushima Daiichi Unit 4.

Help resist the nuclear madness in the District of Corruption!
The nuclear industry's lobbying juggernaut has taken over the nation's Capitol on June 7th, with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission "inviting atomic catastrophe" by considering extending reactor operating licenses for up to 80 years. Meanwhile on Capitol Hill, U.S. Senators are promoting the risky plans of the Blue Ribbon Commission on America's Nuclear Future, to rush high-level radioactive wastes onto our roads, rails, and waterways, bound for parking lot dumps and a new national burial site. Help push back by contacting the White House and your Members of Congress, urging an end to new nuclear subsidies, shutdown of dangerous old reactors, and hardened on-site storage for radioactive wastes.
